Hello there! I’m Kayla, the proud owner of Olivine and a passionate beauty and wellness enthusiast with over 18 years of experience in the industry. When I’m not at the salon, you can find me hanging with my husband and  kids, and thinking of the one of whom is off exploring Germany with the Air Force! 

My love language? Physical touch which is why I love being able to give you a killer hand, foot or scalp massage. Also, a perfectly brewed cup of coffee—whether it’s a hot or iced I’ve never met a coffee I didn’t love. My order you ask? A a cozy peppermint white mocha always makes my day, hot or iced, summer or winter I LOVE it.

In May 2022, I eloped with my longtime love in a dreamy adventure in Miami, and I still crave that authentic Cuban coffee here in Spokane! Adventure and travel  is my ultimate passion, and I love hearing about my clients’ journeys and adventures—it’s a great way to share stories and connect.

Outside of work, I’m all about digging into one of my large library piles, exploring the great outdoors, whether it’s camping, boating, or gardening with my kiddos. I’m also a big fan of family game nights, puzzles, and playing with our adorable adopted/rescue pets—our indoor house bunnies, Daisy (aka Beebs), Mr. Chubbs, and our “most handsomest boy,” our Border Collie Dakota.

I founded Olivine in March 2016 after realizing that the traditional salon setting didn’t quite fit my vision. I wanted a space that aligned with my lifestyle and allowed me to provide exceptional care to my clients. Here we are, eight years later, and I still love what I do every day!

I’m dedicated to getting to know each and every client, ensuring your health and well-being are at the heart of every service. I practice exceptional safety and sanitation, using only the safest professional tools and high quality products while being mindful of allergies, sensitivities, and other health concerns. 

While my services may be a touch longer than the average quick pedi visit, I promise a relaxed experience where you feel valued and not rushed. If you’re looking for a quick drop in mani or pedi I may not be the right fit as your safety is priority and my eye for detail prevents rushing you out. I like to have the proper time to ensure you leave feeling comfortable, pampered and heard. 

I’m licensed in Cosmetology and Nail Technology, and I have completed training in permanent makeup. Although I’m not offering PMU services at this time, I’m may wish to expand my offerings in the future! Currently my other services including the new Advanced Wellness Pedicures are where I feel the most fulfilled and am focusing my attention.
